So what is a site to do when it has over 23,000 registered users and wants to get a weekly mailing off? You develop your own mail system and you send them out?
You have to consider things like user tracking, click tracking, open rates, etc.
What do you do if the site keeps crashing?

Today there were no crashes from the newsletter. The second one had crashes -- and that's the one I think you're thinking about. I don't even want to talk about the first one.
